Music is part of every child's curriculum. A music specialist
takes all the infant and junior classes for singing, percussion, musical appreciation
and composition. In Year four all pupils receive weekly violin lessons as part of their music curriculum. Choir practices and Recorder classes are held in the lunch hours. There is also a thriving orchestra which meets weekly after
school. The orchestra also performs in assemblies and at school functions. Piano lessons are available as an optional
extra.
Tuition is offered in a range of instuments such as guitar, cello, flute, clarinet and trumpet.
Drama helps in the building of character and confidence. Children particularly
enjoy appearing on the stage and throughout the school year they have various
opportunities to perform in school plays and class assemblies. Speech and
elocution lessons are available on request. |
